Saving Native Orchids
The Project
FAME funded a three-year research project studied the effects of habitat fragmentation on native orchids, the project was completed in partnership with Adelaide University and Adelaide Museum. Many species of native orchid are disappearing from the Adelaide Hills due to clearance of habitat. This research project looked at ways to overcome the problems caused when a species of plant exists in only in small and isolated pockets.
