SPECIES: Callistemon wimmerensis — Wimmera Bottlebrush
CLASSIFICATION: Critically endangered
A critically endangered bottlebrush. Yes, you read right. The Wimmera Bottlebrush is actually endemic to Victoria, now only known from one population not far from Horsham. Threats to this particular bottlebrush are lack of water, inability of the species to reproduce vegetatively and damage to soil and habitat due to trail bike riders.
