Today is Threatened Species Day. To say 'happy' threatened species day is not appropriate as it is a reminder of the death of the last Tasmanian Tiger.
Today is about creating awareness of the plight of our endangered species, recognising the horrendous rate of extinction and knowing, that if we work together, we can make a difference.
There is a hope.
On this day FAME would like to celebrate and acknowledge all the amazing work of our scientists, ecologists, environmental charities, governments and importantly, the hundreds of thousands of volunteers and supporters across this country that work tirelessly in their efforts to protect our precious flora and fauna.
You are their hope and for this we applaud you.
