To the six million Australians that volunteer in some capacity within their community, on behalf of the Foundation, thank you for giving your time that enables so much.

National Volunteer Week is celebrated from 20 to 26 May and is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the generous contribution of volunteers. In 2019, Volunteering Australia celebrates 30 years of promoting volunteering nationally.

If we think about the interactions we have each week - sporting clubs, community groups, schools, charity organisations, we are all likely to come into contact with volunteers.

We recognise the dedication of the FAME Board - who are entirely volunteers - as well as acknowledging the work of all the volunteers who work tirelessly on the ground in support of our projects across Australia.
